GWS CUSTOM DECALS
Using GWS CUSTOM DECALS, modelers of all skill levels are able to build exact replicas of virtually any race car that ever existed, from modern day Indy cars to vintage midgets. Professional builders use them to produce museum quality pieces for drivers, car owners, sponsors and crew members. Hobbyists use them to create replicas of cars driven by favorite drivers or cars owned by friends or family members. Others simply want to build shelf models of their favorite cars.
Over the years, GWS CUSTOM DECALS has produced decals for Indy cars, sprint cars, midgets, supermodifieds, late model stock cars, dirt late models, dragsters and funny cars. I've even done a few race trucks, like the one at right. Whether your interests run to modern day or vintage race cars, GWS CUSTOM DECALS makes your projects possible.
PLEASE NOTE: AS OF 7/1/22, I WILL BE TAKING CUSTOM ORDERS FOR SPRINT CARS AND MIDGETS ONLY.
If you're interested in creating unique race car models in any scale from 1/64 to 1/18, please contact me at gary@circletrackdecals.com for more information. Meanwhile, here are answers to some common questions:
Are custom decals expensive?
Not really. The cost of my decals depends, of course, on the project and I've created decals that cost as little as $10.00 and (very rarely) as much as $150.00. Most of my decals are in the $35-45 range. Once I get a clear idea of your project, I can always provide a firm price quote
Do you require a deposit?
No. I never ask for a deposit.
Do you have a minimum order?
Yes. The minimum order is $10.00, exclusive of mailing cost.
Am I committed to purchase decals once I order them?
When you order decals, I produce a proof sheet in .pdf format so that you can see the decals exactly as they will be printed. Any necessary changes are made at that time. You are never obligated to pay for decals until you are satisfied and approve the art work.
What type of payments do you accept?
PayPal is the preferred payment method. I do accept checks or money orders by prior arrangement. I do not accept credit cards.
How about shipping?
Mailing by first-class mail in the U.S. is always included in the price of my decals. There is a charge of an additional $2.00 per order for mailing to Canada and Australia. Because of postal and customs regulations, I do not mail to other countries.
How long does it take to get decals made?
All my decals are completed on a first-come, first -served basis. My backlog is ordinarily 6 - 8 weeks. I try to complete projects faster, but I'm not always able to do that. At times, particularly around the Indy 500 and Christmas, the backlog increases on account of the volume of orders.
What do you need in order to make decals?
The short answer is: Pictures, pictures and more pictures. I want to create, as much as possible, an exact replica of the real world car. I can't make decals of what I can't see, so pictures of the real world car are vital. When I do decals for car owners, I sometimes have the original files from the graphics designer and that is very helpful.
Do you print on vinyl?
No. I tried and very nearly destroyed my printer. I do create art work for vinyl printing, but the printing has to be done elsewhere.
Can you print from my art work?
Yes. Please contact me for details.
I hope this answers some of your questions. For more information or to order custom decals, please contact me at gary@circletrackdecals.com or at gws.decals@verizon.net.
